to the sister-city Blount county, Tennessee, U.S.A.
The
trip took place between May 27 and June 6, 2003.
The
theme of the trip was "Women as Leaders"
of the Open World Program.
The Open World Program is administered
by the Open World Leadership Center in Washington DC,
an independent government agency
that is located at the Library of Congress.
The local program I participated
in was organized through a grant
to the Academy for Educational Development (AED)
in partnership with Sister Cities International.
